0.0 The Basics
Intel
Have
"TheCitadel" channel open before you get to low sec so you know what's
happening, who is where etc.
Keep TheCitadel to INTEL
ONLY,if you are being attacked say by whom, where and what
ships.
If a hostile enters
local, report Name, System and Shiptype (if you have it)
Have your Local channel separated from your other channels,
(I have mine above my other chat channels) so you can always see who is
there with you. You can easily drag someone's name and link it to the
Intel channel to ask FoF (friend or foe).
Make a Safespot
Make a good safespot then make a backup safespot.
If you need to know how read http://eve.grismar.net/wikka.php?wakka=AdvancedBookmarking
Getting There
Use Ombey's 2d Map
Go to http://www.ombeve.co.uk
download the PDF file to your computer, on the third page of the PDF is
a map showing all the regions of Eve. Providence is central south.
Click on it. You'll see various entry points into Providence, the ones
you want to know about are Misaba
(Domain Low Sec) and Kari
(Tash
Murkon High Sec).
If you click on the entry
point to another region on the map, it will switch to that region (in
document hyperlink) Look on the map for "O" that indicates an
outpost. Ombey's map
is
due a new update and there may be more stations than are currently on
the map. Ombey (the map's author) is aware of the new outposts and
has said that they will be added soon.
Docking
BSA have docking rights at all of the CVA, Sylph, LFA, -7- stations,
though you will be
charged a small fee. Click here
for a list of stations in providence. To dock a battleship
costs 124,000.
Be aware when you dock you will
be prompted to pay the fee
by a pop up window before you are able to dock, this could be a problem
if you are being chased by a hostile or group of hostiles.
Note : If you have
negative security status, you will need to get to -5 or under to be
able to dock in CVA stations, Sylph Stations do not mind low sec status.
Hostiles
Use the CVA KOS checker DB, (http://www.cva-eve.org/kos,
it only works in the in game browser). It's not always completely up to
date but it gives a good idea. The website needs to be added to your
trusted sites to work. Its a good idea to bookmark it so you don't have
to keep looking for it.
From experience, the area around the
QBL-BV and QR-K85 Outposts seem to be the busiest for hostiles running
in and around looking for people to shoot, as they are close to the
systems next to Catch.
Etiquette
0.0 is much more friendly than Empire, people will chat in local, don't
be afraid to say "hi".
