Chaining a
Spawn - IMPORTANT - learn this !
Damage Types
Providence is Sansha territory (you can see this on the pdf map), so EM
/ Thermal to tank and use against them.
To Cloak or Not
If
you fit a cloak to your ship (even if its offline) it will increase
your locking time. This may not be too much of an issue vs BS rats, but
if a hostile enters system, finds you before you are able to warp to
your safe, a long lock time against your target could cost you the ship.
How much can I make ?
Battleship
start at 500k and go up from there. If
you sell the loot from the BS spawn you can easily double the isk you
get for example Sansha Lord 500k BS spawns are always dropping Large
Energy weapons that sell for 500k or more in Jita. Unless you
plan on
running back and forth to the outposts in the area, I suggest anchoring
2 Giant Secure Containers at your safespot. One for Loot, one for Ammo.
There are four Refineries in Providence and 1 Sylph refinery
in Catch.
Refining large NOS/Neut/Armour Repairers/Hardeners can
provide you
with good amounts of low end minerals such as Nocxium, Zydrine and
Megacyte.
What Ship to use
You
dont need an expensive ship with uber fittings to rat in 0.0, just need
to be able to tank the damage and wear down the BS tank. I've seen
people ratting in Prophecy, Drake, Hurricane, Myrmadon, 1 month old
characters in Armageddons. Use what you feel appropriate.
Don't take anything with you that you do
not mind losing. For me (and i'm by no means rich) I write off the ship
and implants the moment I get into them
Don't forget to Insure it.
Drones
Be VERY
careful when using drones, if you do not active manage your drones they
can easily kill a whole spawn and mess up the chain. As in missions, do
not deploy drones until you have full aggro.
Tip :
Lock all the BS
as soon as you get to the belt, once you have the first BS into half
structure, tell your drones to engage the next BS.
On the last BS,
return them to drone bay before the last bs explodes.
